In 1976, the William & Mary football team traveled to Ohio for an out of conference game. As a lower division school and as massive underdogs, the Tribe did not expect to win. But the night before the game, there was a screening across the street of a new film called Rocky. The team went to see it together.

The next day, they beat Ohio 20-0.

Fans obviously consume media before, during, and after the game. So do the players and coaches.

It matters.

The entertainment that we furnish is not only marketed around the globe, it can motivate our players themselves.

While they build their own personal brand of football, we can turn inward and embellish a culture for them to buy into and become ambassadors of.

That culture is a reflection of our leadership, our community, our city, and our beautiful state.

And I know this place.

One of the players on that William & Mary team that went against the odds was my father, voted by media and fans as one of the top 100 Broncos of all time.

I was born into this Broncos family and I have seen many teams and ideologies come and go

But the only thing I like to reminisce about is winning.
